Mr and Mrs B came to see us in relation to Megan, Mrs B`s child from her former marriage to Mr H. Mr H is Megans father but has lost touch with Megan and lives in China.
Mr and Mrs B have been married for a number of years and Megan treats Mr B as her father.
Mr B came to see us wanting to adopt Megan.
We were able to explain the court process and issue court proceedings, liaise with the local authority and Mr H in concluding proceedings where the court agreed to make an adoption order in favour of Mr B in relation to Megan.
