Civil Partnerships
The Civil Partnership Act came into force in December 2005 and enabled same sex couples to obtain formal legal recognition of their relationships by registering as Civil Partners of one another.
If you are considering registering a civil partnership or have already registered your partnership and want to understand how the law might impact on you, call one of our lawyers for an informal chat.
As in marriage, a Civil Partnership can only be brought to an end by Legal Dissolution or Annulment and the same claims for Financial Relief apply as in a Marriage. It is important that you get good legal advice at an early stage of any break-up and our experienced team of lawyers will be able to help support you through this process.
