Unfair Dismissal

If you have been unfairly dismissed, then you are entitled to compensation of up to £68,400 - though in certain circumstances the potential level of compensation is unlimited. You may be entitled to be reinstated to your old job or to a different job with your old employer.

You have been unfairly dismissed if your employer didn't have a fair reason for dismissing you or if they failed to follow the correct procedure when doing so. Certain types of dismissal  are automatically unfair e.g. if you have been dismissed because you want to take maternity leave.

To make a claim you must be able to show that you have been employed by your employer for at least 12 months - though there are a few cases where this is not required

Claims for unfair dismissal must be brought within 3 months of the date of your dismissal so its important that you contact us as soon as possible.
