Wrongful Dismissal

If your employer has dismissed you and has failed to comply with the terms of your employment contract you are entitled to claim compensation for any losses arising from the breach of the contract.

A breach of contract may take many forms - perhaps a failure to give proper notice or to follow a contractual disciplinary procedure.

If you have been wrongfully dismissed your employer may lose the right to enforce any restrictions which were contained in your contract which limited your work activities after the end of your employment.

Depending on the value of the claim it may be sensible to bring your claim through a court rather than the employment tribunal - we can advise you which course is appropriate in your case.

If your reputation has suffered damage as a result of your dismissal and you are finding it more difficult to obtain a new job as a result you may be entitled to claim stigma damages for the loss of your reputation

Strict time limits apply to any claim so if you think that you have been the victim of a wrongful dismissal its important that you contact one of our employment specialists now.
