July is Scams Awareness Month – a national campaign launched by Citizens Advice to help people avoid falling prey to scams.

The Land Registry have published a video as part of the campaign and whilst we hope that you’ll never be the victim of property fraud you can help to minimise the risk by:

1. ensuring that your property is registered – most properties are now but if yours is one of the ones that isn’t then our conveyancing department can help with that (just call us on 01902 577771 or email our conveyancing team)

2. registering with the Land Registry Property Alert service

3. making sure that the contact details that the Land Registry hold for you are up to date
